The Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, the Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, and the Raja DiHilir of Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah also attended the event.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail were also present. In his speech, Saifuddin Nasution said the opening of the camp symbolises the MADANI Government’s commitment to strengthening the capabilities of the nation’s security forces to address increasingly complex and evolving security challenges.
The 69 Commando unit has been proven through its involvement in numerous key operations, including combating the communist insurgency, the Al-Maunah incident in 2000, Ops Daulat in Lahad Datu, Sabah, in 2013, and the country’s special deployment in connection with the MH17 tragedy in 2014.
In other news, a woman was fined RM500 by the Magistrate’s Court for assaulting the Sultan of Perak during the state’s National Day celebration last year. Nurhaswani Afni Mohamad Zorki, 42, pleaded guilty to using criminal force against Sultan Nazrin Shah.
Meanwhile, the price of Antam‘s silver has decreased by Rp 550 to Rp 41,600 per gram on July 7, 2026. This decrease is in line with the decline in the price of Antam’s gold, which fell by Rp 15,000 to Rp 2,655,000 per gram.
